![]() This is because no matter how much I planned, there is always a chance that something didn’t quite go the way I hoped. Once I had my movements planned, the action occured, and this is my favorite part of the entire game seeing the fruits of my labor play out in a way that has me on the edge of my seat. When I started to immerse myself into these moments of planning multiple actions within my turn, it began to look like an audio editing dock, where actions each have their own track. Indicators told me exactly where our mechs would meet. Enemies have attack cones with projections of when and where they plan to attack, so I had to move my units in calculated formations to counter their actions.Īt one point in the demo, I rushed an enemy with my shield, planning exactly where I was running along with when and where I put my shield up. So, if I moved, I could tactically plan exactly where I wanted to stop. When I selected my action, I had to place said action on the tracker and as I did so, I was able to see the enemy’s actions. I had a suite of actions which include run, attack, block, and more. ![]() I had to figure out a way to progress the action, complete my mission, and counter every attack I could. How does this work? There is a time tracker at the bottom that you can move your cursor through to see what the enemies intend to do, when they will do it, and what they will do “it” with. Much like the mechs within the game, there are a ton of moving parts that really makes this game stand out.įirst, combat happens in five second intervals and simultaneously, as I said before. ![]() While other strategy titles have you acting in turns, Phantom Brigade spins the concept on its head as everything that happens within the game occurs simultaneously. Phantom Brigade is what I would consider a “cinematic, tactical” game. When I say that this game is unique and features a gameplay concept that I have never experienced before, I really mean it. I love nothing more than seeing giant robots destroy each other on the battlefield, so it is no surprise that I immensely enjoyed my hands-on demo of Brace Yourself Games’ Phantom Brigade. To say I am a fan of mechs is an understatement. ![]() ![]() The third disc features “the promotional mono mix” of the album, including a mono version of the first single, “What Goes On” b/w “Jesus.” The second disc features what Sterling Morrison dubbed “The Closet Mix,” which Reed described as a way to “get directly to somebody, unfiltered… So, if you listen to the record, it’s like sitting across from you.” This was the original version on the 1969 pressings of the album, later replaced by yet another Val Valentin stereo mix. The record was also a stylistic leap, as Lou Reed describes it in Rolling Stone editor David Fricke’s liner notes, “I thought we had to demonstrate the other side of us. Gone was co-founding member John Cale, and in his place was a 21-year-old with Long Island roots named Doug Yule, who stepped right in. The exploitation of these resources solved the problems of financing the campaigns and provided Alexander with a magnificent base of operations to consolidate all the conquests made until then. The reasons why he set out to conquer Egypt instead of heading to Mesopotamia to confront the Persian Emperor seem clear: the natural, commercial and geostrategy resources of the country of the Nile were very important. In the nearly four months that Alexander the Great spent in Egypt, there was plenty of time to incorporate the precious country into his possessions without any great acts of weaponry. At the same time, Alexander tried to win over the people and the Egyptian priestly caste by publicly honoring the main Egyptian deities. ![]() Proof of this is that, once he was at Memphis, the sovereign celebrated his victory with Greek-style games and Sacrifices to Zeus. Therefore, it is not strange that the Egyptians received Alexander and his people with great festivities. Unlike the peoples of the Middle East, the ancient Egyptians never accepted Persian domination, so their two periods of invasion (525 – 404 BC and 343 – 332 BC) were characterized by constant uprisings and severe repression. Thus, the Macedonian conqueror seized power of the country of the Nile without engaging in combat at the end of 332 BC. A basic walk-through of this castle is available at the other end of this link . This castle would also look nice in a model railroad display at 83% size (= 1:87 HO scale).Ī picture also shows the main keep as well as the Watchtower with some of the walls in the much larger/majestic 1:72 scale (100% size), with some appropriate figures added. Note that the keep has three levels, there are main hall and spiral staircase roofs, and a rooftop floor. The walls, tower bases and the gate are interchangable with my previous post for a Roman-style frontier wall (in the file here the crenellations are smaller) and dimensions of all elements here are the same, so you can use any of the wall and gate files there to further customize your castle. Also, there had to be a watchtower with interior wood stairs between levels to observe and track approaching merchants, boatmen or other potential victims of banditry and extortion. My other must-haves included a tile roof, a clockwise spiral staircase for mobility between floors, a fireplace on each floor, and sanitary facilities (there are two privies on level 3 with a wonderful view). These constraints may be similar to what the owner of an impoverished hilltop in South Germany, Bohemia or Austria would also have faced: limited space, limited construction timeframe and limited budget. I wanted something that looked realistic, could be populated on each floor with furniture and people at 1:72 scale, yet that could still be printed on a 223x223mm printing plate. This castle resulted from the constraints that we have with printing volume and time. Handcuffs (Y) – Also known as friendship bracelets. ![]() Meanwhile, the AP Technomancer doesn’t really need that much to get going. However, the problem is that getting those sets involves a lot of grinding. Now, you can technically clear way faster with either FP or AP Pyromancers. I would say the best class to play in Worldslayer would be the AP Technomancer. However, if you have the proper gear for the FP Technomancer, then you’ll be breezing through all content. The caveat with the Technomancer is that it’s so reliant on you dealing critical hits. In fact, it seems it still holds that title in Worldslayer. This class is no doubt the most powerful class in the base game. Basically, the AP counterpart has very powerful AOE attacks but somehow lacking when it comes to bosses.Īnother class that goes in Tier A is the FP Technomancer. The AP Pyromancer also takes Tier A for the simple fact that it performs extremely well with comes to clearing mobs. Apart from that, it has a pretty high damage output which makes it ideal for melting bosses. Add to that the fact that some of the new sets for Firepower Pyromancers make the class all the more powerful. The FP Pyromancer has received significant QoL changes which makes it one of, if not, the best classes in the game. If somehow this gets sorted out, then we’d potentially see the FP Trickster rise up the ranks. What it does is it gives your damage a 25% chance to deal 200% more damage to Elite enemies. The possible reason could be due to a bug in its PAX nodes, particularly the Goals Beyond Understanding node. While the FP Trickster is undoubtedly powerful, it seems to be fairly weak in Worldslayer. This is a really major problem considering that Worldslayer introduces a new endgame content which only means stronger and more powerful enemies than before.Īnother class that goes to Tier C is the FP Trickster for the simple reason that it just can’t keep up with the other Anomaly classes out there. Possibly the biggest issue with the FP Devastator is its low survivability due to how squishy it is compared to other classes. ![]() While the class surely has received some really nice QoL changes in the latest expansion, those are still not enough to push it up the ranks. Tier Cįor Tier C, we’re going to put FP Devastator. I’m going to rank all classes in the game starting from Tier C all the way to Tier S depending on how powerful they are. Which is The Best Class in Outriders Worldslayer ![]() That said, here’s my class tier list and my pick for the best class in the current meta. As such, it should come as no surprise that the meta shifts to whichever class is the best to run in the endgame. However, the release of the Worldslayer introduced tons of changes to all classes, including nerfs and buffs. The base Outriders game has a pretty solid tier list as far as classes go. Interactive rebase can be really useful, especially if you tend to commit locally all day long and push your changes on your way out the door. Here, again, you can save your team from experiencing this confusion by resetting your repo as long as you don’t push these changes. This is really confusing if you know you’ve pulled all the changes already. If you rebase pushed commits, Sourcetree will tell you that you have changes to pull down after you’ve finished the rebase. This can lead to dangerous and confusing situations. I said it above, but it bears repeating: never rebase commits that have already been pushed. But even if you do make a mistake here, you can still reset your repository as long as you don’t push the changes. Proceed thoughtfully in this situation, and don’t rush through it. If you choose mine, you’ll lose all the changes made to that file after the deleted commit. In this case, mine refers to the changeset just prior to the commit you deleted, and theirs refers to the changeset just after the commit you deleted. Git won’t know which version of that file to replay the other commits on top of, so it has to ask you: mine or theirs? Let’s also say one of those subsequent commits affects a file that was changed as part of the commit you deleted. Let’s say you’ve deleted a commit, and Git is now replaying subsequent commits. Avoiding confusion during interactive rebase “mine” vs. Just drag and drop them in Sourcetree’s “Reorder and amend” window. Whether to save yourself from reprimand or to group related commits together for ease-of-grokking, reordering commits is easy. I’ve also seen commit histories where commits for feature X were scattered around and interleaved with commits for feature Y, making it hard to get a sense where feature X is at in its development. Once upon a time, I got into trouble because the commit history of a repository clearly showed that I was working on feature Y before feature X, contrary to the project plan. In fact, you really ought to update the commit message in such cases so that it’s clear to everyone what the commit now contains. Rewording commit messages is also useful after you’ve added staged changes to an existing commit. A window will pop into view where you can tweak or completely replace the commit message. Rewording commit messages lets you tell the story in a way that your colleagues (and your future self) will be able to make sense of.ĭouble-click on the “Description” column in the interactive rebase screen. When you’re in the middle of solving a problem, you don’t know how the whole story will read. When rebasing continues, it will drop back out to Sourcetree, allowing you to do whatever the heck you want before continuing on. To use this feature, check the “Amend commit?” checkbox on the commit you’d like to edit. But the git commit – -amend command lets you do things like change the commit message or add staged changes to a previous commit. Or, you can use the squash with previous option by right-clicking or using the button at the bottom of the dialog. ![]() To use the squashing feature in Sourcetree, drag and drop rows on top of one another. Squashing lets you combine tiny-yet-related commits into a single, meaningful commit. Panic commits tend to be small and, taken in isolation, rather trivial. Squashing is a nice way to tidy up after a series of “panic commits” – when you write a line of code, then are overcome by fear of a sudden widespread power shortage resulting in the loss of your work.
